Job Title: Application Design and Technical Specialist

Status: Part Time, 20 hours a week with flexible hours

Location: Archdiocese Sheehan Center in Omaha, NE

Wage: Hourly, Not Disclosed

Position Description:

This position is responsible for working with the FOCCUS, Inc. USA office staff, web design team and end users to plan and oversee development, implementation and maintenance of web applications and databases.

As related to the FOCCUS web application, this will include but not be limited to…

• setting priorities, managing expectations and overseeing timelines
• communicating between office staff and web application team
• gathering and organizing software and database specifications from office staff
• recording decisions and details on procedures and processes
• documenting current and new applications and work flow
• developing specifications from current software and data sources
• designing general screenshots and layout mock-ups
• creating wireframes and validating database schemas
• planning and coordinating data migrations
• verifying that applications developed by third parity developers conform to project specifications and security requirements.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field required
• 3+ years of project management experience
• 2+ years of graphic design experience
• 2+ years web application security planning and testing
• MS SQL Server 2000 / 2005
• Experience with multi-tiered web application architecture
• Understanding of constraints and logic involved with web applications
• Team player
• Strong technical aptitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid work ethic
