The primary duties of the Senior Rail Design Project Manager - Civil Engineer include all aspects of client and design-team management of commuter, shortline, transit and class-one rail projects. More specific duties include coordinating the planning and environmental process as well as managing the assembly of plans, specifications and construction estimate packages. Will plan, organize, and supervise the work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians. This person will be viewed as a technical expert with the recognized authority in the area of rail system planning, design and construction. Additionally, this person will be viewed as a key individual to serve as a high level point of contact between the client and HDR. Will also be responsible for strengthening relationships with other state and private entities and transit authorities, which may require the rail design services of HDR in the future.
