HDR is in search of an experienced Environmental Sciences Senior Project Manager in either our Walnut Creek or San Francisco office to join our growing Bay Area group. The primary duties would include functioning as a senior project manager on projects and associated management responsibilities including: marketing, management and quality control of deliverables, profitability, and to assist in staff recruitment and development. Work with clients, resource agencies, environmental and technical staff to prepare State and federal (e.g. CEQA, NEPA) environmental documents and technical studies for large projects. Produce and/or perform review of all documents, reports, presentation, technical memorandums, and other work products with a focus on environmental regulatory compliance and technical adequacy. See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through a pro-active project management system. Assist in preparation of marketing plans, lead proposal efforts and interviews, and work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in both the local and national marketing efforts. BS in Environmental Sciences, Biology, or a related field. MS or MA strongly preferred.

10+ years of experience managing environmental services for large, complex projects including CEQA and NEPA documentation, regulatory compliance (CWA, ESA, Section 106, DFG, etc.) and technical studies.Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak preferred), project management software (Prolog preferred).

Experience in the management and development of multi-discipline teams, including good leadership and organizational skills.

Must have excellent organizational, project management and communication both written and verbal skills.
