HDR is in need of a Senior Federal Project Manager in our Irvine, CA office. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, procuring and managing infrastructure projects for clients in the Federal market sector, primarily NAVFAC and the Army Corps of Engineers. In addition this person may be called upon to leverage Federal market sector knowledge and HDRs capabilities to procure and deliver program management, planning, environmental, design and construction services for a wide variety of infrastructure projects. Their primary duties will include planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of medium to large multi-discipline engineering projects with a high degree of technical complexity involving a large project staff. They will be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently and will work closely with clients throughout contractual, design, and production meetings. They will also participate and in some cases facilitate work sessions for design development and contract documentation at the project sites in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Additional responsibilities will include: coordinating staff and workload throughout the entire project with the HDR production managers, working with accounting managers, project controllers, and the local office department manager for project reviews, implementation of QA/QC procedures, training of personnel, and acting as a mentor for less experienced project managers. Keyword(s): Senior Project Manager Engineer, Project Management, Federal, Engineering B.S. degree in Engineering or a related field required. 15+ years of project management experience in the Federal market sector is required. PE license required. Familiar with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and project management software. Candidate should have demonstrated ability in Federal project management and delivery, including staff management, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control/quality assurance. Experience in Federal marketing is a plus including championing pursuit efforts, identifying pursuits with new and existing clients, and making technical presentations. Must have the ability to interact with various design teams and possess excellent organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills.
